Originally a coaching inn, the Old Rose and Crown Hotel is steeped in history and is a landmark building in the heart of the stunning Lickey Hills. Set in the 400-acre park, the hotel is easily accessible from the M42 and M5 motorways – and just 9 miles from Birmingham City Centre.
The hotel boasts 11 en-suite guest rooms, function rooms for civil weddings and wedding receptions for between 45 and 140 guests along with conference and private dining facilities.
Opened in 1921 and set amongst huge pine trees tower above the 16th and 18th holes. On a glorious summer’s day, this course is a golfing paradise.
Our top tip for seasoned pros: the 15th hole is tricky! A long 221 yards par three, you will need accuracy to cross a stream onto a small green
We are often described as the “Cafe behind the Hotel”, the “Golf cafe” and the “Cafe by the duckpond” and finally we have our own website and have adopted the name the “Duckpond Cafe”.
We have added a new, “Deli style” menu to supplement our all day breakfast offering.
There are some amazing places to visit starting with the stunning walks around the Lickey Hills to shopping in the Bull Ring Birmingham.
Great days out at Cadbury World, The Black Country Museum and The West Midlands Safari Park are all a short distance away.
